pavers or paving stones
The popularity of concrete pavers has been growing in recent years and they are now a well loved outdoor flooring option. Pavers are similar to tiles, in that they arrive on site ready to be installed - yet paving stones are manufactured in multitudes on specific shapes, sizes and colors, offering much greater versatility than the traditional tile.
One of the coveted features of paving stones is that they can bring and “Old World” elegance to your remodeling project at a fraction of the price of natural stone paving. Contemporary pavers come in retro designs which allows you to give your garden that worn and washed out romantic look you’re going for.
There are two main types of pavers.
Interlocking concrete pavers are thick and strong (more brick-like) which allows for use on surfaces like driveways, which have to endure automobile traffic. In addition to their practicality interlocking paving stones give driveways a classic and charming “cobblestone” appeal.
Architectural concrete pavers are thinner (from less than an inch to 1,5 in. thick, compared to the 3 in. of interlocking pavers) and often larger, making them ideal for outdoor hardscapes like patios. These paving stones can be crafted to look like natural stone as well.
Architectural concrete paving stones can be used as indoor flooring and constitute an elegant alternative for kitchen floors, bathrooms, fireplace facings and foyers.

HOW YOUR PAVING IS DONE MATTERS
We carry out both in-situ paving, which denotes the process of carrying out the paver installation right on the specific site, and the less work intensive, and hence less time consuming, ex-situ paving.
In ex-situ paving the pavers are assembled from larger units, which are transported onto site, making the assembling of for example larger patio areas a breeze.
Soft paving constitutes a third alternative. It incorporates turf in the design, alternating between the paving stones and the turf, offering a great way to reduce flooding as well as heat, as the turf absorbs radiation as well as allows water to flow through.
