As a rule of thumb, horizontal cracks might point to more trouble than vertical and diagonal ones. Many diagonal and vertical cracks are simply the result of normal settling, whereas horizontal cracks may indicate hydrostatic pressure or mother earth moving beneath your structure. Injecting epoxy or trying to fix the crack in some other way may give a cosmetic lift, but in a worse case scenario you are undermining the issue and ending up with future concrete repair costs that well override what you would be spending now.
In the case of more cosmetic concrete cracks we will be able to tell you when your concrete has come to the point of no longer being repairable and when resurfacing is the method of choice. It is good to remember that concrete resurfacing is a cost effective procedure too, salvaging your existing concrete, while giving it an all new finish!
